PubMed is a free search engine accessing primarily the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. The United States National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health maintains this resource.
Use PubMed to search for information in over 28 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. You can limit your search to find only items freely available Full Text Online (see links below for instructions) or you may send citations to the Integris Medical Library via e-mail (libsrv@integrisok.com) and the Medical Librarians will attempt to obtain the resource for you!

Google Scholar works essentially like a regular search engine, but to get the best results, you should be as specific as possible. It is designed to return a combination of the most relevant and most cited pages, meaning you'll get what's been cited most by other academics (which are usually the most informative, reliable sources).
Many items found using Google Scholar may not be readily available or may be locked behind paywalls. You may send citations to the Integris Medical Library via e-mail (libsrv@integrisok.com) and the Medical Librarians will attempt to obtain the resource for you!
The Integris Medical Library is available for use by all Integris staff, be they in an office in Miami or an somewhere in the Oklahoma City area. Electronic resources subscribed to or owned by the Integris Medical Library are protected by IP recognition. This means that databases, articles, and eBooks cannot usually be accessed outside the Integris computer network. Some distant (and even local) members of the Integris community are not actually on the Integris computer network and, therefore, do not have direct access to medical library resources. This guide seeks to connect those patrons both to resources and to the Integris Medical Librarians for assistance with obtaining information they need!
